Blizz has announced free server transers from pvp realms that are overcrowded. And guess what, Bleeding Hollow is overcrowded (just ask the folks who sat in queue last night for a half hour). I am not suggesting that we move our entire guild but if others do move we may see a very nice thinning of the crowd. I may move my warrior over to see how the server is since with the creation of the Deathknight class she was going to sit at level 39 forever. Here is the official link.

Alas, the destination's PvP as well. Otherwise it would be a good way for anyone tired of PvP to move as a group to a PvE server. (There's another group of PvP realms that get free moves to a PvE realm.)

I'd say sit tight and let other guilds move.
I think thats what you'll see is whole guilds pack up and go.

In the mean time it couldn't hurt to create a char on the target realm and watch chat in Dalaran and other major cities.

The PvE server where Tigger, Fafhrd, and I play, Eldre'Thalas, had a 30 minute queue last night. (I blue-screened and had to spend half an hour to get back in. I ended up reading forums while I waited.) I'm hoping there will be a split to get that queue size down.

If you hate PvP, this is a great place to play. How's the ganking on Bleeding Hollow in the Northrend entry areas?

Scratch,

The ganking in the Northrend area is not too bad, although a few freshly minted 80s decided to drop in on some folks in the starter areas last night. I find myself running right past horde on my lock and mage and they take a look at my pally and realize he is prot and it will take to long to kill him. I have not brought my rogue up to speed on the new area because I cannot stand the new sub builds but I dont want to pay for a respec on a toon that is just going to be a crafting weenie for a while. Deathknights are ganking left and right in Hellfire but then those that they are ganking have friends (just ask the ones that meet my mage after camping Stormm and Snake yesterday). You would enjoy the new area on your lock if you ran affliction because the mobs hit like cabbage patch dolls.

I've been debating moving my lock to Eldre'Thalas, but right now I'm too busy playing there with my hunter and paladin, and also leveling several other toons, and I need to start my DK eventually. I moved my priest, though.

All it takes is one gank and I lose all interest in playing on BH. But over on ET, I can play for hours without worrying about it, and get stuff done.

And the guild I'm in has the MA feel (irreverent, several older people with families, about the same size in terms of raiding), if not the name. If someone wants to check it out, I'm happy to /ginvite you. (But if you like world PvP, this is definitely not for you.)

I made Baneleaf there yesterday when the servers were coming back up but BH was still in limbo. He is a little different looking since he (now she, yes the operation was a success) is now a pig-tailed gnome. I will log on at some point and see who is on.

LOL. Do a "/who thud" to see who in the guild is around. Just say you're a friend of Scratch from MA. I'll keep an eye out for you and let people know to watch for you.
